During operation, it may happen that a system is shown as offline in the SolaX Cloud, data is missing or appears with a delay. These situations often cause uncertainty, even though the photovoltaic system is technically working correctly. This article explains common issues, puts them into context and shows when waiting is appropriate and when a technical check is necessary.
An overview of the system structure and features is provided in SolaX Cloud: Features, Login & Data Overview.
System is shown as offline in the SolaX Cloud
If a system is displayed as offline, it usually means that there is currently no active connection between the inverter and the SolaX servers.
Possible causes:
- interrupted internet connection
- router restart
- communication issues in the local network
- maintenance work on the system
Offline status does not automatically mean that the system is not producing electricity.
No or incomplete data in the cloud
A common issue is an empty or only partially updated dashboard.
Typical reasons:
- synchronization delays
- missing or incorrectly configured measurement hardware
- commissioning not yet fully completed
- user account not correctly assigned
If data is missing for several days, the system configuration should be checked.
Data is displayed with a delay
The SolaX Cloud does not operate with guaranteed real-time data. Data is collected and processed afterward.
Typical characteristics:
- delays of several minutes
- data gaps after short offline periods
- daily values that are only complete at the end of the day
For reliable analysis, completed time periods should be used.
Differences between app and web portal
It may happen that the SolaX app and the web portal show different values.
Possible reasons:
- different update intervals
- browser cache issues
- outdated app version
Restarting the app or clearing the browser cache can help.
Storage values missing or fluctuating
In systems with battery storage, the state of charge or performance values may fluctuate significantly or may not be displayed temporarily.
Possible causes:
- internal energy management of the system
- communication delays between inverter and battery
- rapid load changes in the household
Such fluctuations are technically normal.
When waiting is reasonable
Not every irregularity indicates a technical problem.
Waiting is usually reasonable in cases of:
- short-term offline status
- missing data for a few hours
- minor delays
- known maintenance windows
In many cases, the system stabilizes automatically.
When to contact the installer
A technical check is recommended in the following cases:
- persistent offline status over several days
- completely missing data despite an active system
- recurring error messages
- newly installed or expanded systems
The installer can check internet connection, inverter communication and system configuration.
Frequently asked questions about SolaX Cloud problems (FAQ)
Does offline mean my system is not producing electricity?
No. Offline status refers to the connection to the monitoring system. The system can still generate electricity.
Why is data missing in the SolaX Cloud?
Short-term synchronization issues or internet interruptions can cause delays in data display.
Are delays in monitoring normal?
Yes. Most monitoring systems work with delayed data transmission.
Why does the app show different values than the web portal?
Both use the same data source but do not always update at the same time.
Can I fix these problems myself?
Often, checking the internet connection, logging in again or restarting the app is sufficient. For persistent issues, the installer should be contacted.
